Q: How can I remove old vinyl pinstripes on my boat? They seem to come off in quarter-inch pieces. It's very frustrating.

A: Brian Szczechowski of Ann Arbor, Michigan, has the answer. He used a heat gun to warm and loosen pinstripes on his boat, and they pulled off easily.
